Following Christ according to the NT pattern.

Doctrinal Statement

that the Bible is the verbally-inspired, inerrant word of God, that it is the revelation of His mind and will, and that it is the only authority and pattern for church practice, faith, and conduct.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21, Matthew 5:17-18)

that there is one God, the creator of all, eternally existent in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

(Genesis 1:26, Deuteronomy 6:4, Hebrews 1:8, Acts 5:3-4, Matthew 28:19)

that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Word of God from eternity, and that He was born into the world as a man to fulfill God’s purpose and become the Savior of all mankind.

(John 1:1, Philippians 2:6, Matthew 1:23, Colossians 2:9)

that man received a sinful nature as a result of the fall in the garden of Eden, that all mankind continues in sin, guilty and condemned, and that men are unable to save themselves from eternal punishment by their own works.

(Genesis 3, Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5)

that the sinless and perfect Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, rose again, and ascended back into heaven, and that faith in Him and His blood sacrifice is the only way of salvation.

(Romans 5:18, Romans 5:6-11, Hebrews 9:28, Hebrews 7:25-27)

that the Holy Spirit brings conviction of sin to all men, and that all who repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ are born again, indwelt, and joined to the body of Christ (the church) by the Holy Spirit.

(John 16:8, 2 Peter 1:4, John 3:5-8, John 3:16, John 3:36, Romans 8:9-11, 1 Corinthians 12:13)

that the Lord will return in the air to take His people (the church) out of the world prior to the time of tribulation, that he will return to the earth after the time of tribulation to judge the world and establish His kingdom, and that there will be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust.

(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 3:10, Revelation 19:11-16, Acts 24:15, 1 Corinthians 15:35-50)

that there is one true and universal church, the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, and that the Lord Jesus Christ is its only head.

(Ephesians 1:22-23, Romans 12:4-5, 1 Peter 2:5)

that the local church is a place for God’s people to find rest, help, teaching, fellowship, and encouragement, and that it is a lighthouse to help the lost find the way of salvation through the gospel.

(Acts 2:42, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

that partaking the Lord’s Supper is the privilege and responsibility of every believer not ensnared in heresy and not living unrepentant in sin. We welcome all such believers to the Lord’s Table. We break bread every Sunday.

(Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-31)

that every believer is a priest before God having direct access to God, and that each is given one or more gifts to be used in building up the body of believers.

(1 Peter 2:5-9, Romans 12:3-8, 1 Cor. 12:4-31)

that the Lord commanded all believers to be baptized as a testimony of their faith in Christ and a recognition of their death, burial, and resurrection with Him. We believe in baptism by immersion.

(Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:36-39, Romans 6:3-5)
